Rare genuine beaver fur hat with red wool cloth top and silver lace. Until 1700s, only boyars could wear beaver fur hats in Russia. Later, the style was favored by rich merchants and atamans (chieftains) of Free Cossacks. One of the most famous persons to have worn the hat was Yemelyan Pugachev, a pretender to the Russian throne who led a great Cossack insurrection during the reign of Catherine II. Extremely warm. Shade may vary. Imported from Moscow. Production time: up to 7 business days.
